Castle Juniors FC were proud and delighted to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services. It is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups. We celebrated this recognition with an Open Day in September 2019, where we received the award from Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for County Down, Mr David Lindsay.

Castle Juniors FC were one of the first football clubs in Northern Ireland to receive the Irish FA Advanced Clubmark Award, recognising that we have robust policies and procedures in place across all of our activities and use them to deliver against our aims. Club officers visited the National Stadium in 2019 to receive the award from the Irish FA.
